Default ARC intake

I am thinking about purchasing a arc intake induction box and chamber used from someone...I was wondering if there are any necessary small parts that I need to look for and how does the arc intake work as in...do I need a filter etc...

It has its own filter..

How it works? It sucks in hot air under your hood, if you want to be cool... get it.

Yes but it looks good it dose have a little filter on the passenger side of the box to bring cooler air from behind the head light

The gain with the Comptech is about the same as the ARC it's just what ever makes you happy. You only get a few HPs with any intake. At least with the ARC you don't have to worry about rain and deep puddles

You do if you have a vented hood.

You'll look real good as you look at the tail lights of another S2000 with a COLD air intake on a hot day.

There is not connection between the "side" opening to that hole in the fender. The hot air will just pass from the radiator and flow right past that hole and into the side opening. Like any fluid, air will take the path of least resistance and most of it will come from the biggest hole (the top).

The "gain" is about the same, but the "LOSS" due to hot air ingestion will be much more with the ARC once the underhood temps rise.

You don't have to worry about water ingestion with the Comptech either.
