Default ASM Cooling Plate

I bought an ASM cooling plate and tried to fit it today with a Mugen Intake and a J's Racing Type V Hood. It didn't fit at all, and I am thinking its possibly the hood not the plate because I can raise the hood latch until it works but then the hood sits really high. Anyone had any experience or know about this?

Thanks

The hood needs to be cut to fit the Mugen intake. Despite the cutout for the J's intake; it does not fit the Mugen intake properly.
