bolt ons are worthless, if you want to add significant HP you have to go FI. period

Not necessarily. There are always the 2.5/2.7 liter stroker kits which can put you close to the 300hp range. However, FI takes you to more horsepower CHEAPER than NA. With that being said, Id still prefer a nasty NA setup over FI. If only money were no object...

if you go road racing, i suggest you stay NA. All that power is good on the straights, but on a road course, as soon as the turns will come up you will need to do some long and hard braking. applying the gas pedal through a turn with a turbo car with its lag will not be good compared to an NA car with its response. Japanese s2000 tuners could easily modify their cars to be turbo, but most japanese s2000 tuners keep things NA for road racing purposes. NA and road racing is Honda's racing philosophy. cornering speeds will be faster in an NA s2000, and straightaway speeds will be faster with a turbo car. Most road race s2000's are NA, and most drag race s2000s are turbo. NA cars are low maintanence, and turbo cars are high maintanence. If you want to drag race, and brag about how much power you make, get a turbo, but if you want to road race, keep it NA. 13 seconds of drag racing in one session or 10 laps on a road course in one session? its your pick.

True

10k+ in a rebuild + a tune for na 300 hp or

400 hp for 6k bolt up and go with a lil tune.... hmmmm

true na is fun, just not as effective $ to HP numbers

if you race, just buy suspension and tires....

Do you want to make the car a lot faster or just want to improve the driveability ?

I will suggest I/H/E and a reflash. You should be happy for a while.

Going SC is not a bad idea (bang for the buck) but at the same time you are shortening the life span of your engine.
