K&N sounds amazing. i dunno if it gave me anything performance-wise though. according to their dynos it does i believe. also it fits perfectly and the install was a piece of cake.

[QUOTE=[DT],Dec 9 2008, 01:37 PM] I have a question about the Mugen style - I understand you have to cut an OEM hood, but I have a Top Secret on the way.

do you have a pic of the underside of said hood?
I will, maybe as soon as tomorrow! I see from my tracking site it made it to J-Ville from Burnaby, BC (Canada) through Seattle over to the east coast corner

As soon as it gets to the homestead I'll shoot some pics - if I know how high the Mugen intake sits, I could also make sort of a simulator to check the clearance.

Just my personal opinion....

I think any AEM, Injen, Fujita intake should make similar power. Unless someone has back-to-back testing from a stock intake to prove me wrong. Plus, with a good tune... does it even matter what intake brand is really under the hood? I say just buy a CAI from one of the three mentioned above, and wrap it in heat reflecting tape. Nobody is gonna FEEL a 2-5hp difference. But, if you see that hp made on a dyno... some crazy psychological affect will take over in your brain, and you're going to tell yourself that you can feel the difference. When in fact, you cannot. LOL

Has anyone actually monitored IAT's before and after the addition of the snorkel? If temps are lowered we know it's working, if not, it's useless. Someone with an EMS should be able to test this quite simply and finally put this debate to rest.

Yes holy bump batman
