I just edited my post above. So yeah, a new Final Drive ratio isn't for me. ONE more noob question , how do CAIs cope with water getting into the intake?
youre going to get alot of mixed opinions on them.... alot of people say they are fine.... i personally have run them on my previous car with no problems, just have to avoid puddles of water..... other people will say NO dont do it, hydrolock CAN be a big issue if it occurs.

what's with ppl wanting to spend nearly 1k for a freaking intake? not to mention it's for putting on an s2000 that virtually makes few hp gains. Don't wanna be mean but this is just the best damn way to waste money.

S2K 4 ME & D Loke-

Wow... I thought our high tech world could have come up with SOMETHING to prevent this from happening. I live in Georgia and we can get some pretty heavy rain at times. Even though we are in a drought. But man, this sucks. I don't want to take any chances... Any opinions on good short ram intakes? And one more thing, would a cooling plate give me chances of hydrolocking?

Vik2000-

Please refer to my post on the middle of page 1....

no big difference in any of the most popular intakes, if your planning on forced induction, dont waste the cash..

Wait a second, according to an aritcle I am reading in Modified Mag (April 07 issued) they say a bypass valve will fix the hydrolocking problem. Comments?

I know they are out there, but I dont know anything about them. I hear they work. Hopefully someone that has one will chime in, or you might start another post if you dont hear anything.
