Im pretty sure he has somebody make them for him, or I think they might be mazda gears, not really sure. Its not necessary to get them cryo-treated but it does make them stronger and more reliable. Since you have an AP2 I wouldnt get more than the 4.44s. Since the AP2 has shorter 1-4 gears and a lower redline the 4.77s will be overkill. Youll definately be pulling on AP2's with boltons.

FIPK + aut cooling plate is a nice set up. Thats what I went with. I am sure at higher speeds there would be a little more gains. Won't show up on any dyno though.

Wow... I thought our high tech world could have come up with SOMETHING to prevent this from happening. I live in Georgia and we can get some pretty heavy rain at times. Even though we are in a drought. But man, this sucks. I don't want to take any chances... Any opinions on good short ram intakes? And one more thing, would a cooling plate give me chances of hydrolocking?

Yeah. I read about those last night. I only think they fit the AEM CAIs. Oh well. I decided to get the FIPK and cooling plate because the FIPK might give me a minor gain while the cooling plate will give me some under the hood bling. Together they will basically be a CAI.

they work with any intake.. if u know the size of the pipe..
you need to cut your intake in half to install it..

Thanks for the help but I already decided on my setup. I will keep this in mind if I ever change my mind and get a CAI.
