haha thanks for the compliments but i dont think kit is going to be a very viable solution for a BBK.

i am going to have 5mm shaved off of the brembo caliper bracket to try to make more clearance and i'm just waiting for the custom rotors i got from fastbrakes.com to do this. the rotors he was using for the kit doesnt have to have the caliper bracket shaved, but you'll need low offset wheels with good clearance to fit them. i had him make a custom rotor hat which would require me to shave off 5mm from the brembo bracket to make it fit correctly. this i'll have better clearance and more rim choice.

right now, it seems like the rims i purchased, enkei rp03 with +48 offset arent the best choice for caliper clearance. i think with a more fitting wheel like i may be able to pull it off without shaving the caliper and a small spacer..but i already bought my rims and i dont have money to just keep buying rims haha. that would be nice though. the other thing is they're 18s and i'm looking for 17s. its hard to find a wheel that i like, in my price range that will fit. my problem is that i want to run 245 up front, but for people runnign 225 or 205, they can try to run lower offsets to fit the caliper without needing too much modification to fender or crazy - camber.

so what it all comes down to is what offset, tire size, rim selection you want. you can try to make them fit with more - camber or rolled fenders.

i guess fastbrakes could make a kit with the bracket already shaved and yadda yadda but its just not that great of a solution. i'm sure if he put together the kit it would probably be around the $1600 he's charging already.

if i chose a better wheel, i think i will have much better of a chance. but i'm too lazy to go around finding wheels that are in the right price range for me so i'm just probably going to stick with this one. i think with shaving the caliper and maybe a 10mm spacer, i'll be able to fit it. the thing is i'm running 245 up front so we'll see how this is going to work with the fender haha. i'm going to have to roll the fender and i was already planning on running around -3.5 camber. so we'll see when the rotor comes in and i'm able to put everything on the car.

i'll write up everything when i get it to fit.

for you.
Wait.. don't you mean a higher positive offset is needed to clear the brakes?
So have we determined that the brakes will not fit on the stock rotor? with or without modification?

FYI, the SSR and OZ wheels are typically designed for maximum clearance. The SSR GT1, GT2, and the OZ superleggera and Ultraleggera cleared my stoptechs and my Wilwoods 6 pistons just fine.
