i tried to search but couldnt find anything. I read on Berks site is says 98% drive by wire have CEL and something about the older ones rarely having it...

if i get a test pipe will i need to get one with a O2 CEL fix?

 

I haven't heard of anyone installing a test pipe without throwing a CEL, I had 2 of them Spark Plug fouler on my T1R testpipe and it still threw a CEL so I went with a Comptech O2 eliminator. I own a 00 just to give you an idea.

 

I have the Berk testpipe and have never thrown a CEL. I am running it in my MY01 with no issues.

The BERK testpipe has a built in CEL fix, it pulls the o2 sensor out of the cat about 3/4" and it will not throw a code.

My best friend drives an MY00 with an invidia test pipe and I used 2 spark plug foulers to make a CEL fix and his has never thrown a code

 

Yep, even threw 3 anti-fouler on there just to see if the CEL would disappear but it came right back. Only way was to either throw the stock cat back on or go with the O2 eliminator, I chose the eliminator . Haven't thrown a single CEL since.

I got the berk test pipe and never gotten a CEL. Also got the berk header. I would recommend the berk test pipe all theyre parts are quality, i gained 6whp with just the test pipe.
