Test Pipe CEL + stumbling?
After installing a test pipe (with a defouler for the O2 sensor... long one, double the length of a regular one), I got a CEL (6 long, 5 short) which is for the secondary O2 sensor.
This was no surprise.... but while I was driving around to autozones and pep boys looking for more defoulers, My CEL shut off. Everything was cool until this morning when I took off the test pipe to remove the rattling heat shields..
After re installation - CEL turned on again (6-5 again). So I installed another defouler onto the O2 bung and reset the ECU.
Within seconds of startup, the same CEL is thrown, and the engine can barely hold idle for a couple of starts (i believe it needs to learn new settings every time conditions change/reset)
anyways. any ideas for getting rid of this CEL? Should I toss on the last defouler I have? Something tells me it wont fix this prob
