WHOA where'd you find that awesome side-by-side comparison of knob heights??!
I've spent quite a bit of time digging through old threads and managed to find the picture from somebody at A&J Racing.

ARC

Just like you i wanted a low and heavy. Most if the Ti stuff is way too light for my feel. The ARC is Ti but weighted inside. About the same weight as stock.
So the ARC is slightly ligher than the VooDoo knob? Are they the same size?

If you order the T1R T182R from www.aj-racing.com they will do a custom burn on it if you want...meaning they will work with you to get the colors on it you want in the way you like it. They seemed to be one of the lower priced titanium knobs when I was looking around and they had this special going on when I was looking so...

They were having a xmas special, giving free spoon reservoir tank covers if you ordered before December 1st...they still might let you do it though?

Titanium is actually quite a bit heavier than aluminum. For those titanium knobs that are lighter, they might just have an outer layer of ti with some other sort of metal alloy inside.

I'm thinking of getting the Voodoo one, but $160 for a shift knob just doesn't make me too happy.

I believe the new OEM knobs are about 230 grams, while the older AP1 knobs are less than 200 grams. For those 06+ AP2 owners who want something heavier than stock, you'll have to go with a full titanium one. Too bad, because I was damn excited when I saw the Voodoo aluminum one for ony $40....until I saw the weight. Boo!

I've always wondered: why don't people make stainless steel knobs? Might not look as cool, but you'd get the heft you need.
