If your worried about it do it in stages.

For example do 3 small points on the tube, let that dry then work from point to point filling in the bevel. Letting it dry between each one.

Wait are you talking about my headlight? Not sure what you are trying to say.

I think i might open up the lens hole and extend the tube through like silver did. This will make it easier to seal.

Yea I'm talking about your headlight. I don't know if I'd go bigger. His doesn't look like it turned out to good. No offense! I just think the black door seal crap looks cheap and thrown together. I'd try to make it look like it was made this way from the factory,, not hacked up in your basement.

The best idea would be to plastic weld it but I'm not sure if that's doable.

If you think you can go bigger and make a better seal then great, if not, I wouldn't do it.

I think silvers looks pretty good for the first time attempting it. He can always throw some different trim around it to clean it up if he wants.

I will be using clear silicone...

Yup exactly... I am kind of disappointed I had to go through the lens, my hope was to do what Bnag0 did/attempting... I can get clear trim if I look around but I know that yellows. I can change it up later on easy enough, and probably don't have to take the headlight out to do it.

I am planning on trying some epoxy on the side with the step later this week though to try and make it more uniform. Going to have to wait until I have power... over 48hrs and no indications on when power will be restored to my area

I did however get my flex LED light in and tried it out (no pics) an it lights up really well and looks pretty good. Once I get it in the car I will be able to get some pics.

I am thinking about extending the tube through like you did silver... sealing the tube how i have it fit is a bit harder than if i where to seal it similar to yours (on the outside). After i figure out what i am doing with the tube fitment and seal it up i plan to put black trim around where the tube meets the lens. I am thinking a rubber trim of some kind that i can glue onto it. Honestly i think the black ring around your tube looks sexy. It might need some cleaning up at the base but overall i think you did a great job seeing how no one has done this before and its more of an experiment.

Thanks Bnag0 I think it looks pretty good myself and looking forward to installing it. Certainly the first for an S2k from our images. The stuff I used is just fender guard, I cut the hole slightly larger then the tube so there was room for it allowed for adjustment too get a tight fit and it also should provide the seal. It was a bit hard to get on though, the lens is thick so it took some work to get the guard on and shaped to the cut out.

I may pick up some clear expoxy to try and fix the step on the edge of the tube where I couldn't blend it back enough. Nice thing is with the trim in there if I don't like the look with epoxy I can pull it out trim up the tube a bit and refit and not have to worry about the lens itself!

Nice.

I installed mine in the car tonight... battery dead in camera so no pics tonight.

Looks pretty good I had to take the fender and bumper off to get the light out. Maybe took a hour and a half start to finish.

Thing feels like it will suck a small animal in when reving the motor

Little drive and IAT seems to be a little down at cruise, acceleration drops it real quick hopefully do an official log run later this week.

Nice! lol yea just pull the cats out of it after every drive.

Hoping my clear diffusers will be here early next week giving me enough time to finish my headlight scoop before the Knapp tour next weekend in Watkins Glen. I might not have enough time to clear out the driver side but o well lol.
