I think i will be buying a 3.00" OD 90 degree aluminum pipe so it comes straight off the throttle body and comes closer to the front of the car then sweeps left into my air filter location now. This would make the tube longer but i am unsure if i will notice a difference. I think i will be buying a ECU this summer as well. I drive an 04 so i guess its AEM V2 for me unless there is something better out there for the same cost?

Alright so as a lot of you have been wanting me to, i just scrapped together some motivation now that I got my car up and running again for the summer.

Today i cleaned up the lense and housing got some silicone sealant and went to town. Checked the fitment of the tube one last time and trimmed off the access.

I just finished putting the first coat of the clear rtv sealant on the lense to fill in the cracks and give me a good base for the final sealing bead. Not sure if i want to stay with the clear or hit it with black like silvers. The clear allows you to see the trimmed edge of the tube and lense and looks kinda funny IMO. What do you think?

Some pictures...

Alright so last night my Dad gave me a few ideas about the clear sealant in the front. Im going to take some black pin stripping and lay that over it to clean it up. Ill do this today after work. If everything goes well and i have some time i might throw it on the car as well...

stay tuned

Alright so as you guys probably figured out i didn't have time to get this done yesterday night lol. Ive been having trouble with my neck and had to make a visit to the hospital.

I got home later and saw i got my velocity stack that will go on the end of my filter so i will be able to take some pictures of that tonight as well after i get my headlight on the car

Oh ya i also got my brake duct scoops so i will hook them up and probably make a new thread on that as well.

Alright, better late then never right? lol

So here are a few shots of the filter modification. I still don't have all the parts i have ordered so don't mind the glob of filter material at the end.. its just temporary.

Just showing the placement... There will be a 4.5 - 3.5 silicone reducer that will go around the end of the intake and shoot straight into the fender cutout mating up with the duct tube off the headlight...

Okay and now for the headlight...
Even though this is on the car there are still a few things i would like to do. The first is kind of black out the corner of the headlight where the scoop is in order to clean it up. Also the "daytime running light bulb" I need to find a nice bright white one now that i have white plastics in my headlight. Also i need to find some damn fog lights that will possibly accept my H1 high beam bulbs. I plan to extend the oem hign beam connector cable to the fogs allowing me to still use the high beam switch on the steering column or maybe just tap into those wires and run a different type of HID...

This is what i mean when i say i want to black out the portion of the light... I will be using some kind of black tape that will cover the area in a design similar to this...

and here we go...

When i get it all finished and looking nice nice i will post up some nice daytime shots...

Thanks again for everyone's interest...

Does it effect the divergence of the light coming out on the road?
