Default DD exhaust

Okay I have googled a good but and I know someone is going to tell me to keep on googling but anyway here is my question.. Okay so I have right now an invidia n1 dual and it is really loud I love the deep tone and how it doesn't sound like the typical civic with a hole in the header going down the road. But I am planning on getting a new exhaust next week and I am pretty set on the q300 dual I really don't want to spend over a grand but if anyone has a better idea I would love to hear it! I like single exhaust just don't want it to be to loud. So let me know what you guys think!

Tanabe medallion. Better quality than the invidia. Or if you can find a greddy se used get that.

Save your money and build your own. Save weight, no ugly cans hanging under your bumper to have to worry about, and you can use any tip(s) you want. If done correctly there will be no drone and it will be mellow and deep until you get above 5-6k, where it becomes loud and intoxicating .

For a little over $1000, you can buy a Gern pipe. That's the magic part of the complete Gernzhaust that kills the drone. Run that with your stock rear section, and do the UK exhaust mod to that. Because the Gern pipe moves the cat to the rear, you can lower your VTEC engagement rpm considerably.

Fabbing your own exhaust sounds simple, but only one guy has ever managed to build an exhaust that didn't drone on these cars. It's not as simple as it might seem, unless you put 200 pounds of resonators under the car.

Mine doesn't drone. At all. Even under full load in high gear on steep inclines. Barely more intrusive than stock inside the car, top up at 75-90mph, but absolutely screams at full tilt. And it cost me less than 100 bucks in material, including double wall stainless tips.

I couldn't agree more about the gern-pipe being great, but I don't believe it's a good combination with "UK modded" OEM mufflers. Honestly, the best DD exhaust out there is my full system. However, it's not cheap.

I'd love to see this magical exhaust. You can't even buy a decent muffler under $100.

There are no mufflers on my car. A friend who has an Invidia system on his car is selling it and having me build him a copy of mine. His Q300 sounds like garbage in comparison, as he found out yesterday after driving mine. I'll post a vid as soon as my wife finds my recorder that she misplaced ... It isn't magical, it doesn't produce any extra power. It just sounds great and doesn't drone. I've built custom exhaust systems for 10+ years for every car I've owned and they've all sounded fantastic.
