Arrow Decel Buzz

Hey everybody so i know that this has been brought up before and i searched the forums, however i wanna know if anyone who had the typical decel buzz actually got it fixed by replacing the clutch! Was it an oem revised of some sort? Or an aftermarket, what brand and setup? Or was it another issue with synchros or just trans itself or even diff. My s2000 is a '00 with 40k miles so its obviously out of warranty. Or should i take it to a shop to see what they say? Sorry bout the long post....

Want to know so that i can order a knew clutch setup cause the decel buzz is so freakin annoying!!!

The springs in the clutch disk cause the decel buzz. A new clutch disk should take care of it.
Since it is a major task to remove and replace the disk you should consider if you want anything else changed while the tranny is out.
Make sure you lube the splines on the main shaft or you will be back in there again.
Usually the throw out bearing and pressure plate/ flywheel will be reusable with 40,000 miles but inspection may lead you to replace or machine.

I burned out my act street clutch in just under a year. Launching at 8k is great, that clutch was wicked, but from now on I'll do it very sparingly. I thought the decel buzz was brought on by the flywheel but I was told it could also be the pilot bearing. I have no clue though. I picked up a sprung 6 puck as my replacement. I'll take pics of the install for you guys. Maybe this weekend.

Replacing a clutch isn't a small task really. If the clutch is still working fine is it seriously worth that much to simply get rid of the noise? Or if it bothers you that much then put her in neutral and use your brakes instead of engine braking. Just my 2 cents

If the clutch buzz prevents you from fully enjoying the car, by all means swap it out. I have an exedy OEM replacement and I don't get any buzz.
