They do nothing but add bling to the engine bay, I've delt with strut bars in all my vehicles and in all honesty you can't feel a difference if it's a oem or aftermarket bar.

Generally speaking I rarely felt any significant difference when adding a front upper strut bar to just about any of my past vehicles. The difference was felt when I removed the bar after having it on for a significant period of time. With that said I never had a front upper strut bar on my S2000 while I owned it, but I would be interested to hear from owners that have had it on for a good amount of time and have since removed it.
