Downhill Canyon setup
Hey guys for those of you that run canyons. Do you guys have any recommendations suspensions mainly and other mods? Not looking for too stiff of suspension. A lil history on my cars:civic (4wd)wagon, which was fun, rx7(FC), 02 celica gt, ek civic hatch and now s2k which I think was made for me. I've drove it many times in the canyons and its mod time
. I've been canyon driving for about 7 years now and the s2k IMO is scary fast with lots o potential. First night in the canyons a pack of wrx's tried to chase me but it wasn't even close so yeah I've found my dream car muehehehe. But seriously any input, suggestions will be greatly appreciated thanx in advance.

Nice! I'm loving this info. I'm planing on getting some koni yellows in the future and want to get some spec r springs now. My question is, will the springs loose their regidity or specs if I run them with the stock shocks for a while( will it ruin the springs when I wanna upgrade shocks). Or will the springs be good to go when I get the shocks, I don't really know how long springs last.
Any recommendations on what kind of breaks to keep an eye out for?
For tires I'm thinking of getting some Azenis, I've had them in the past and loved them. Currently I'm running potenzas 02.

you dont need a "big brake kit" or anything fancy.
for the most part OEM pads are more than capable of anything an average driver can throw at it. I drove the mountains and autox'd for 6 years on the oem set up.
dont waste your money on "springs"...you will make the handling worse. sure it will look better lower, but thats all.
Azenis tires are old news. That was big 6 years ago. Look into hankook rs3, dunlop zii, potenza re11a, bfgoodrich rival. Those are the new tires on the block.

full coilover set-up man...don't go ghetto with shocks and lowering springs...like someone else said, you'll more than likely make the handling worse...you want something with adjustability...if it were me, id go good set of tires, full coilovers, and get the alignment dialed in...don't need much more than that...the only thing id do to the brakes would be stainless steel brake lines and ATE brake fluid
