Downhill Canyon setup
I'm currently running the car the way I bough it. With stock rims and tires, stock shocks and has M2 springs which I would have never installed but for looks its good(but I'm not going for looks). Thanx for all the input guys really helpful, specially the tires because I know the tires make all the difference. Keep em coming.
IMO just spend money on track days. Stock is just as amazingly fun as modified on track. Learn the car completely and that alone would allow you to be super fast on your 'canyon runs', not that I condone that. But to answer your question..other than brakes*, test pipe and intake, I would highly recommend an ecu and lower your vtec for low speed corners and a seat (which ultimately means bar, harness and wheel). Having a nice bucket is soo worth it, especially if you drive the car like that.
First, driving like a hooligan on the street is unsafe. Take it to the track. You'll have more fun taking it to the limits safely. Initial D is animated fiction. They would all be dead or in jail by now. /soapbox
This is all you need to get started:
tires (wheels too if you are on 16" bubble tires)
brakes (hi-temp pads and fluid)
full face helmet (some clubs won't allow open face styles)
track time (NASA HPDE I does not require a roll bar, at least in my region)
Once you get in the zone driving 100% on the track, you'll realize hooning does not have the same appeal.
