Too bad we still don't know what the header makes after all this. I make 225whp on a dynojet wile still using the factory header so this thread just isn't helping much. Would have been nice for you to have done the vafc tune and dyno, then bring it back with your new header as the only change, that would have made a bit more sense. I doubt it, but for all you know you could be making 225 whp too if you still had your factory header back on. We don't know what this ebay header is netting.
Souds like a good idea but money and time was an issue. Im happy with the result most AP1 struggle to break the 220 mark.

does anyone know if the stock ecu or vafc retain the tuned settings at wide open throttle about 2weeks to a month after getting it dynod? Ive read that the stock ecu overwrites everything and makes tuning useless unless the ecu is reset etc.

False, wide open settings do not get re learned by the factory ecu, there will however be fluctuations in the afr's sometimes daily do to the different weather conditions, temps etc. In this case having a afr monitoring wide band system is optimum to make sure your at safe levels. There isn't a week that goes by that I don't make some kind of correction to my VAFC settings for this reason.

Good numbers. Now we gotta get someone to dyno before and after with the header. For all we know you could have made 2 more whp with the stock header on instead. Numbers are great but many other mods so can't tell what the gains are from.
