Its terribly bad stock, why would you want to make it worse? Don't tell me you don't notice in summer traffic. or even on a mild day when you come back to drive your car after its been sitting for 45min. Terrible heat bog. Yeah its a big consideration. The only way I would think about getting an after market header is if it made proven gains in the rpm range I want and I would wrap the hell out of it. This will quiet it down as well, which is something else to consider when you already have a loud I.E
i would totally agree on wrapping the header coz stock header with just heat shields is really bad, stop and go traffic really makes this noticable...

i have been tru many header, ebay header, megan header, berk header,J's header and now toda header(to work in conjuction with my06+reflash)..all of them are wrapped all the way to the TP...i really love it, sound a little less louder and stop and go traffic is much better( but i can still feel that car is having some heat soak problems but its better.).

vented hoods i think would help as well on those hot days to desipate those heat.

in addition, i painted my toda header with some high temp paint and i painted it using two cans of flat black paint, i really took my time on this one, and i hope this will help the temp to drop a bit more....

Im on my way to the dragon and I have noticed some bogging during stop and go traffic but on the highay the car pulls with no difficulty. I also have the heat shield off the header and the battery heat shield off. Every time I pull over to get gas I feel the battery and its warm but not hot. I am running a vented hood so im sure that helps some. BTW Kentucky has a scenic road that is a must for S2000's.
