And do look into the fitment of the PLM header. Some people had reported issues getting it to bolt up to the cat--they worked it out IIRC, but you may want to search for the thread to figure out how and know what you're getting into. The other thing is the PLM header is often sold with a test pipe, so you might save money getting them together and avoid the potential headache. It seems like a great buy overall.

You stated your a fan of "dual exhaust" but then pointed out that the exhaust your looking for is not a true dual. Look in the Marketplace section, there is a used Berk UHV dual for $700. This is a true dual and maybe you'll like it more?

Otherwise, your selection(s) will be fine. Take the advice here about the TP though, you may or may not like the sound of them...

gernby,

Ya, I don't know what it is about the s2k, but having a light colored s2k, the soot on the bumper shows VERY quickly. It seems kinda crazy to me, as in just 2 weeks, the rear of the car is VERY visibly darker than the front, and needs to be washed.. lol If it rains, you end up with darker blotches on the rear bumper due to the rain clumping it together..

Not exactly sure what the reason is, but it's definitely worse than other cars I've had.. and this is w/ the car 100% stock..

I didn't collect soot on the rear bumper on any of my cars when I had the catalytic converters installed.

Bump...What does installing a test pipe serve? Richer tone? Slightly more HP?

I'm not really looking for power, I'm not a big racer.
However, I do like the sound, with a little extra power.
You may wanna look into the HKS Hi-Power exhaust(sounds SEX on the S2000) and maybe CAI instead of the headers.
