Default Exhaust installation

Hey Guys,

Does anyone know what's the average time for installing an exhaust by yourself without any resting time? There was a post on the DIY, but that was with a break and he said around 6-7 hours.

Really!!! Thought it would take longer. Oh, I'm new to changing stuff like this. So, if you say 1hour then for me it'll be 3 hours. lol going to try it out this weekend.

It really should take much time at all. The only delay you might have is maybe getting some of the rubber hangers off and the bolts at the front of the cat maybe frozen on.

ya, the amount of time it takes to change depends on how long it takes for the hangers. You can take some dish soap or KY and lube up the hanger and then move the rubber hanger back and forth some to get it worked in a little which wil make the hanger slip out of the hole more easily. First exhaust I did took 30 mins to get off and 20 mins to get on, but i had air tools to speed the process up. Now days I can do them in about 30 minutes total if i dont run into any snags. Good luck man.

Thanks guys... I'll keep that in mind when I'm working on those hangers. Can't wait to see how the exhaust turns out after installing it. =)

It's a pretty easy job, especially after doing it a few times. I just spray some WD-40 where the hangers connect, and everything else is simple. In fact, I'm going to swap out my AP2 oem exhaust for a GReddy Ti-C dual today. Also gotta swap out the test pipe so I can pass smog.
