Ok, let me get my tools straight... I would need a jack stands and two jacks with liquid wrench, PB spray, I hope I can get this at autozone, cause I live right across the street from one. hehehe then I would need the wrench and other stuff. Cool, so I'm looking at a 2 hour, just to be on the safe side.. =)

Just out of curiosity, which exhaust did you get?

I got the T1R 70MM V3 single outlet with test pipe. I read a lot about this exhaust and it seems like one of the better power exhuast.

The biggest issue for me were the exhaust bolts near the cat. I jacked up the car, hit them with Liquid Wrench. I was waiting for my brother to come and assist so 30 minutes later I hit it again with Liquid wrench. He showed up 30 minutes after that and I hit it with the LW one more time. Tried to work those nuts off with a regular ratchet with no luck for about 2-3 minutes. Unfortunately there's no room for a breaker bar when you've only got the car on jackstands. Ended up using an electric impact wrench, took them off in under 2 minutes.

Add a mallet or hammer to the list as you'll need to pop out the bolt/studs from the cat flange and replace them with the ones provided with your new system.

I never takes just an hour, give yourself atleast three. You gotta get the car up on stands and everything, and of course some of those bolts are corroded.

Well... not really, but they make life a heck of a ton easier I ended up getting a corded one for 180 bucks, 345 ft/lbs of torque. Socket set on Amazon for 20 bucks and a few misc things, swivel connector and extension. Probably spent about 250 but well worth it. I couldn't justify going cordless for the $ and I don't have my own garage nor room for a compressor & tank. Seemed like the way to go.

If you get an impact then make sure you obviously get sockets (I believe the cat bolts are 14mm) and in order to get at the top one you'll probably need a swivel-type adapter, that top bolt is hard to get to.

To get to my top one I wound up remove everything from the header back and removing the cat bolts once the exhaust system was pulled out from under the car.

I needed serious heat to get my bolts off tho they had been on there untouched for 6+ years.

Don't forget the breaker bar or a cheater pipe if you can't find one.
