Yeah just get a used sc instead honestly. I decided to go with gears first. Sold that and now got a sc. Should have just done it in the first place.

Hahaha hey man. Yeah gears are definitely fun but not as big of a difference as some people like to say imo. They are nice in the FL heat though to help fight any of the heat soak and all for sure. I did notice that pretty good when I was down there and then after removing them bogged down a lot more off the line.

Where are you getting those gears? I don't think they are made anymore unless he has a gear set laying around or something.

We offer both the 4.77 and 4.44 gears:

I tend to think that the AP1 does better with the 4.77 and the AP2 with the 4.44 ratios. However, the difference between the two is minimal it practicality. I also feel that the 4.44 is beter suited to a daily driver with freeway driving unless you are ok with the slightly higher engine speed at freeway speed. At typical freeway speeds, the 4.77 will result in engine speeds at or slightly above 5000 RPM.

We offer installation of the gears as well:

And I have also read that ap1 and ap2 have the same final drive rear end but ap2 transmission itself have shorter gears? They said something about putting an ap2 transmission in an ap1 on stock final drive and will still get ratios equivalent to 4.3x with a low rpm cruise on 6th gear? Can any one confirm this one also?
Its 4.22, it will offset a 245<255 switch basically.

I run a 4.30 equivalent, its noticeable and I like it. 4.44 would be my choice N/A maximum still giving you one shift to 60mph. Any bigger gear is a compromise I don't like for our car.

Basic rule of thumb, the more power you have the less gear you want. Generally what works best with our car in my opinion and experience --

4.77/4.56 stock N/A - close/tight track specific/auto X, limited street

4.44- N/A Modded- best 0-60 and 1/4 time

4.30 - 4.10 - base to moderate boost FI
