Front Bumper Dilemma
So here it is. I bit the bullet and bought an authentic J's racing front bumper only to hit something on the highway a couple of months later...lots of cash down the drain. Whatever it was punched a hole right through the bumper and damaged the lip. So with tax refunds on the way I dont know what route to take to remedy the situation. Votes and comments welcome...especially if you have heard anything on the replicas through JC motoring
You paid good money for it, try to salvage it (at least get an estimate). Otherwise, you can probably find someone willing to buy it off you for a good price (take into account what they may have to pay to repair it when you cost it out).
Show us the damage to the bumper, depending on how bad it is I'd say repair it.
It also depends on what you have done to the car, the J's aero really needs an agressive setup to look right so if you don't have the sides/rear to go with it I would suggest one of the OEM bumper options over anything fake.

I agree with everyone else. You paid good money for that bumper, it would be worth it to at least get a few quotes on repair/paint. Just don't cheap out, take it to a shop that is experienced in composite repair.
yah, you're probably right. I think I might have it repaired/painted and then throw it up for sale. There are OEM bumpers for sale on hondapartsdeals.com that come painted for under 300$. I love the J's front bumper but Wisconsin is not the right place for it...
