Fuel pumps
Hey guys,
running a 2005 honda s2000.
has a stock in take pump that feeds into a RADIUM ENGINEERING fuel surge tank that has a walbro 255hp GSS342 inside.
Im wondering if anyone has had any experience with these walbros.
This thing is STUPIDLY loud. cannot hear my J's 70rs exhaust on idol over the pump.
the pump is getting 14.2V wired direct to the battery. has a relay etc etc etc. like radium want it done.
i have also tried 2 pumps.
the first was so loud right away i changed it.
the second, it was normal for 2 days - now its crazyyyyy loud.
anyone know much about walbro pumps? also is 14.2V too many VOLTS?
and the thing is getting enough fuel coz the canister is always full.
any idea what i can do? buy another... orrr move to a DW or Aeromotive?
i was expecting a whine from it but not something yelling in my ear flat out.
cheers

The Walbro pumps are known to be noisy. Your only solution will be to purchase a DW. In terms of voltage that sounds about right. You can just run a relay and a positive feed straight from the battery, should be 14 volts.
