Default Gas pedal mod

Here is a quick and super cheap modification of the gas pedal. IMO, the pedal is too narrow and too far from the break pedal to be able to do a proper heel/toe. I bought the plate for 3$ at Lowes (in a drawers where the nuts and bolts are), the screws for 1.5$ and a bracket for carpenters (in the truss section at the end of the store: 0.9$, and I cut it in half to have 2 brackets, and it is pliable/does not brake). It took me about 1,5 hours to properly cut/adjust it. I put some blue thread locker on the screws. It is very solid and doesn't move a bit.

The screw on the bottom is to prevent any rotation of the plate. SO far, I am very happy with it. I just need to break with my foot flat on top of the break pedal, not with my foot at an angle on the side of the break pedal.

Anyone else sketched out by this?

I rode passenger in my car with someone who had 30+ years autox experienece, he was using the heel-toe method within the first few corners. I suggest you change your method before you accidently hit the gas pedal when you meant to use the brakes.

Someone sound the safety alarm.

I don't think its going to win any car shows, but I'm sure is very effective for improving heal toe at a very low cost.

I agree it is the ugliest mod ever, and I am not proud of the way it looks at all. But it works for me. It is certainly due to my lack of mastering heel/toe, but I don't see how you can press on the gas while breaking unless you have a 4 inches wide shoe or brake with your foot completely crooked. I posted the pictures to have people's feedback and I was expecting some alarming posts

I don't really see the big danger here. just having this plate is not going to make him accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake. you'd really have to screw up to do that and then you've got bigger issues! everyone knows exactly where the brake pedal is and hits it accurately 99.9% of the time. I've driven cars where the gas/brake are built(from the factory) for heel-toe and are far closer together and hitting the wrong pedal was not a problem.

IMO, the S2000 already has the perfect pedal setup for heel toe.

do you wear a size 5 shoe where you can't swing your foot around and blip the throttle? haha I love the innovation though... fabbing something up when it doesn't work for you.

Beastmode, can you take a picture of your foot heel toeing, please? I am curious to see your technique (no sarcasm here, genuinely asking). Maybe I just don't know how to properly do it.

2000ths, I love your rollbar. Can you send me pictures of how it fits in your car? I have a few questions like:
1) How much modification did you need (aside of removing the OEM hoops?). Hard to install?
2) Can you still close the roof?
3) How far back can you move the seats?
4) Where did you get ad for how much?
