Gas pedal mod
There's nothing negative about promoting the building of one's skill set. The way the suggestion is presented can certainly be negative though.
There are a lot of resources out there on heel toeing and it does take time and practice to get it right. Shoes that allow you better feel can help but they're not necessary. I recall seeing a post (not on this site) from someone blaming their shoes for their lack of heel toe ability. Unless you're wearing Frankenstein platforms or women's heels that's really not a valid excuse IMO.
this. It's more of a roll over with your foot than actually pivoting your heel over on the gas. I guess it depends on how wide/long your shoe is though. Just watch those videos posted and you will see the correct way.

How about the negative "You should work on your skills" commenters back up for a moment.

It's not really about my problems, but taking a wider view that encompasses more than your skill set or physical abilities.
I can understand why he'd build something like this.
It's like telling a guy he should work on his casting skills, but he doesn't have a fishing pole. How can you work on your heel toe if you can't reach the pedals? Maybe the attachment will facilitate the proper technique and once that is mastered he'll remove it. Kinda like training wheels. All I'm saying is there is more than one way to get things done.

You shouldn't be blipping the throttle with your *heel*. More like the right side of your foot. Heel/toe is a bit of a misnomer...
The S2000 pedals are pretty far apart to heel toe with the side of your foot. After I got mine I had to revert to using my heel again and it was a little annoying at first. Still, I would rather just get one of those RAzo pedals rather than do this, if one were inclined to really do something about it.
And quite frankly, people who think the heel is the only proper way to do it need to chill out. As far as I am concerned as long as the shift is done perfectly I don't care how someone does it, they can blip the gas with their faces for all I care. As someone who does both all I'm going to say is that using the side of the foot is much faster, especially if you have to do several consecutively very fast. And sometimes it has nothing to do with preference or performance. Like I said before I only use my heel because the pedal setup. Sometimes I get forced into using one way or the other depending on the shoes I am wearing.
