Gauges and mixing brands
So, I've got AEM oil pressure and AFR electric gauges. I hate them. They look cool and all, but if you think of a gauge on the track as something you are supposed to be able to just take a glance at, and figure out if all is OK, and then get your eyes back on the track, the AEM gauges absolutely suck. The digital numbers are so sensitive as to be unusable, the little red LED around the perimeter are to sensitive as well, they only light up one at a time instead of in a circle, they don't correspond with the markings on the gauge, the markings are in 7.5psi increments, and everything is red, the worst color to pick.
So...can anyone tell me if I can still use the AEM oil pressure sender with another gauge, assuming its 0-150PSI as well, and is the Boshe sideband O2 sensor usable with other brands of AFR gauges also?
Thanks all.

Dont know if they are interchangeable but I have an electronic short sweep oil pressure guage with sender from ( z series) autometer it was 65 $ shipped from summit racing and I got it the next day. It works great and is accurate ( shows the same #'s as my testing pressure gauge). If u already have the aem wried then changing sender and gauge should be easy I would think. Power, ground and sending wire should all be routing the same way.
Well...you need to compare the calibration curves of both the instruments (pressure sensor in this case) to see if they're close enough to work.
Here's the AEM 150 PSI sensor

Have you decided on which gauge you would like to go with? If so, grab that sensor's part # and compare the cal plots. All sensors have their own gains & offsets; getting one which is similar between 2 different manufacturers may be a long shot. But never hurts to check!
