Default Gauges reading wrong / Maybe just the sensor

Hey everyone,

My girlfriend bought me a set of gauges for my car a while ago. Since she doesn't know much about gauges or the quality of them and only knowing that i wanted gauges that light up and that i need Oil Pressure, Oil Temp and Water Temp she bought me them from Glowshift.
They were only about 60 dollars a pop because she doesn't make that much money and thought the would be fine. I knew that you really only get what you pay for so i was afraid that they wouldn't work

We finally got them installed today, and of course i was right. The gauges of course light up, but all of them are not reading properly.

Oil temp, only raises about 50 degree's
Oil pressure raises to the top when you hit the gas.

And water temp, well the radiator has been having problems which we are fixing so we aren't sure about that yet.

I was wondering what you guys think about the problem. Could it just be the quality of the sensors that are making this happen?? I mean the gauges themselves should only be reading what the sensor's are sending them... So I'm wondering if instead of buying the 200 AEM ones, i should order a reg analog gauge from summit racing (figure ill try oil pressure first) and try swapping out the sensor first instead of the entire gauge..
I also guess another concern is would a different brand sensor even hook up with this gauges...

Let me know what you guys think, would be nice if i could get them to work instead of replacing them, since my girlfriend was pretty proud of giving me the gift and i don't want to hurt her feeling by telling her it was a piece of crap and she wasted her money lol...

Any help would be great, thanks.

I got these
http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/black...ure-gauge.aspx

I got Oil temp
Water Temp
Oil Pressure

I also searched a little online an saw that this has happened to other people, but since they have a 1 year warranty, people have called them and have sent them new sensors so i hope that will help...

But do you think linking them with different sensors from another brand would work?

I believe im using Fahrenheit, i didnt do the install the shop did it, but i think we got some kind of a oil adapter, to hook up the sensors between oil filter and the block, and then the water temp we got some kind of adapter for the hose.

ur temp sensors should be small and the pressure sensor should be a big one. R they? Check the sensor wires with the instructions that came with it to see if the wires are hookup correctly.

Oil pressure sounds fine to me. On my car the pressure will be around 30-35 at idle and up to 85-95 when on the throttle (out of memory, not checking the car). There isn't a lot of in-between. Maybe from idle to 2 or 3k it will gradually go up, but higher than that I'm already close to the 85-95 range. I'm also reading it off a sandwich plate to the oil filter. I've had Prosports in the past and they were junk. Both senders on my gauges died or became unreliable within a year. Now I'm running Defi racer gauges. Readings are roughly the same between both brands. The difference is that the Defi's are still working

check the install. make sure the gauges are actually reading the proper sensor.

at idle, in 100 degree vegas heat, my water temp sits around 200F. Oil pressure around 15psi for idle after fully warmed, 85-90psi for on-throttle movement. Oil temp is around 220F after full warmed up.
