Please someone help me out. im going to buy a set of used hardtop latches and strikers and don't want to waste my money. sellers says they are for hard top, but they don't say "for hardtop use only" as I see mentioned before. Will they be ok with my soft top? I don't have a hardtop nor plan on getting one... but would like less wind noise for the very few times I actually drive top up.

The post above you says the hardtop latches says it's for hardtops only. You can use hardtop strikers with softtop latches but I don't know about hardtop latches on a softtop.

I've used my hardtop latches on my softop ( removed hardtop for a while) and worked perfectly if not better cuz my old softop ones were worn. So yes u can use them on your softop , I have an 01 btw.

Default Hard Top/Soft Top Strikers/Latches

Anybody know if OEM S2000 Hardtop latches will work properly with standard/soft top strikers? I picked up a hard top but strikers not with it. I see no reason why this would not work. Thanks Guys/Gals

Yeah! worked just fine on my soft top strikers (even worn). But no 2 s2000 are the same when it comes to hardtop fitment. It's worth trying anyway.
