No need to buy new headlights because of since oxidation, that 800$ could be used for needed maintenance. I use the Meguiars headlight restoration kit. Came with all the tools needed except for a power drill. Headlights are about 90% restored. Cost me 20 bucks and an hr or so of my time

I don't think you can get 90% restoration without wetsanding and polishing. Even then, some people would barely rate it at a 90% unless you have experience. Also, after using the meguiars restoration kit, you will have to protect the headlight or else the oxidation will come back. If you are going to restore your headlights, do it right or don't bother imo.

lol @ people replacing lights because of oxidation. I just wetsanded and buffed mine out came out looking great. I had to keep buffing it out with plastix every few months because they started to get hazy again. I eventually got tired of that and just wet sand/buffed again then had them re-clear coated. wayyy better than spending $800 on new lights but then again i guess i'm just not as baller as some of you.

My lens have all these hairline cracks that only show up when the sun is at the right angle. Anybody have any tips for these other than replacing the lens? I'd imagine a polishing kit couldn't get rid of those.

5 Year old thread. Probably should have just made a new one. If they are cracks pretty sure you are sol and either have to replace the lens or the headlight.
