Default Hitches for bike rack

Hi, I want to put a bike rack on my S2k, but I definitely don't want to use a trunk-mounted one as they are unstable, often times will scratch up your trunk, and most times don't fit the small trunk of the car very well. Thus, hitch mounted ones would make sense. Now I've tried to do some research by searching these forums for hitches. However, most posts were from 5-6 years ago and may no longer be valid. The types I've read about are da'lan, hitch-web, grendon, hammerly, and chase-race.

Grendon seems to cause a problem with tearing holes in the trunk through the bolt washers and hammerly seems to no longer be for sale. However, chase-race appears to be a similar solution to hammerly. Are there any other options out there for hitches that I should be aware of or does anyone else have any other insight on this situation?

I'm beginning to think that $400 to drill holes in the frame of my car plus another $150 for the actual bike rack might be more expensive than buying a separate beater truck or car just to haul around larger cargo...

If it's just bikes, consider the receiver-weld option where you have a fab-shop weld a hitch receiver onto the bumper strut. Then you access the receiver by removing the license plate.
