Default HOLLOW CAT?

dont kill me for asking this, but i was wondering if there would be any horsepower gain if i hollow out my stock cat? i would also assume it might be louder? i know a testpipe i cant afford a tetspipe now, how closely would a hollowed cat perform to a high flow cat or a testpipe?

im willing to take an hour an hollow out my cat for free, i can get a ghetto cell fix from an autoparts store. it would make more horsepower than a stock cat , but would you sayit would make as much hp as a high flow cat / or testpipe?

i dont have time for my car to be not workin, i was gonna do it today if this will make a decent power gain

nope. It isn't worth it to hollow out the testpipe... you may get a little louder, but you would not get any real noticeable hp gains (not as much as a testpipe anyway).. not worth the trouble IMO. The OEM Catalytic Converter is already a "high-flow" unit.

hallowing out a cat isnt wort it coz it will create some sort of a bottle neck effect...yes it will be louder, and i knw it doesnt work coz i did it on my other s2k(my03).and we dynoed my car before and after i did it and im also dyno tuning my vafc and from (190hp with stock cat) it droped to 178hp with vafc tune. later on i had a muffler shop makes me 2.5 inch tp with a welded on cel fix...now i have the car for about 4yrs now with the same mods (193whp and 138ft lb tq) it is still running strong like how it was from the begining...u will have a cel for sure..dont go that cheap on ur car man....just buy a ebay tp for $30 bucks and u will get some decent gains than hollowing out a cat...

also u said u dont have money to buy a test pipe...just sell ur stock cat on this forum and the money ur gonna get use it for a test pipe...
