+1 to RIDGERCR.

Mine also leaked, went back to OEM. It did take a few years, but this isn't something you can just bolt on and forget about it. Not worth it IMO, but might be to some people willing to constantly monitor and adjust/torque as needed.

The small one could be EASILY tapped. The back one could probably be plugged with a brass freeze plug? Does anyone know the diameter of it?

Well you could just drain all your coolant instead and you wont need to plug anything.
Either way it's not like you could run the motor like that for any more than a few minutes without overheating.

I did this same mod on mine. I followed the instructions on another s2000 site. No issues this far and it has been on for 3-4 years. I was able to take my time as this is not my daily driver. The other key was to apply loctite to the manifold bolts, as they will be shorter after the thicker gasket install and could come loose. I also was able to wait 3 to 4 days prior to driving the car and letting the loctite dry. I have never re torqued my bolts, but possibly after the first heat up and cool down. I could be mistaken, but I think if you continue to re torque these bolts, you will break the loctite seal and then you will need to continually re torque, so that could be the reason other have seen leaks and failures. A few other things I remember about the install was to beware of some knock off gaskets. The write up I followed warned of this and told you what to look for on the real gasket. The reason I replaced my gasket was that I had the manifold off to have it port matched with a larger throttle body at the same time so it made sense for me.

Good luck with your gasket. Mine has been fine for 3-4 years no leaks or retorque.

I followed that guide too and it helped a lot.
Think the modifying off the brackets is a really important thing that some people probably forget and might cause problems.
The install guide didn't say anything about the second bracket close to the firewall but I found it also needed to be moved.
I just put two washer in between.

I was referring to the coolant port that gets blocked off with the gasket. The one that runs to the IACV.

Now that I look at the pics better, the large one would never get blocked off.. I made a mistake on that one. I was just adding suggestions to "fewer chances" of coolant leaks from this manifold.

Did you really feel any performance gains besides the car running at cooler temps, even though it supposedly claims 12 hp gains?

I've had one of these on my RSX, and I thought it was a huge waste of time and money. I really didn't feel any noticeable differences.
