IMO stock air box with lid off is louder than the FiPK until vtec.. Then the FiPK is way louder..

The FIPK is definitely louder in vtec. Really creams up there! Loved mine when I had it!

My opinion:

FIPK is much louder than stock airbox
FIPK is a little louder than stock airbox with top removed.

But as the stock airbox with top removed, the FIPK is quiet when driving normally, and becomes loud on full throttle. The noise difference when vtec goes on is approximately the same, you can clearly hear the vtec is on.
