I have an 04 ap2 and currently have k&n fipk and tp. I wanted to know if it was safe to add the invidia v4 in the mix w/ out running too lean. done my search but some ppl say that for an 04, intake and tp is safe, but add a header and itll run lean.

 

u should be fine. but if you get a vafc and tune it you will prolly be better. people that say the car will run lean are quoting AFR's read on a tailpipe sniffer. those are typically leaner then whats read at the header collector.

Even with all the bolt ons ur air fuel will be in the high 12s and 13s thats not lean enough at all.

I don't know if the '04 is tuned as agressively as the '06 or '08, but here is the Air / Fuel curve from my '08 with just a PWJDM CAI (red) compared to my brother's totally stock '06. Pretty friggin' lean!

 

is that logged thru flashpro or from a tailpipe sniffer? but yeah i agree thats damn lean. its surprisingly lean.
