Yeah that ASM exhaust rattle is inexcusable ... if you're paying $2k+ for an exhaust, it should not have problems with durability, especially with the resonator on a stainless exhaust (which normally don't have problems with resonators breaking). Even the owner of Autobacs said that ASM was too expensive

In an unrelated story, I will no longer be buying an ASM exhuast.

Some companies have expanded to the US

ie. GREDDY = US division of TRUST, a JDM company
Spoon sells products through OPAK and Mugen through King, etc.
Others advertise parts stateside, Tein, Tanabe, Apex'i etc

Since the beginning of this post two other magazines have come out. The one celebrating the 10 year anniversary, and this months. I got the 10 year anniversary two days before I went to the party in LA where I found myself gently set aside when asked about the article. I have to be honest, I haven't picked up and read either magazines. I have been thinking of passing off my subscription to a friend as a xmas gift.

I can see why people scoff at our young and at times impetuous import tuning culture. Sad to see nothing has been done.

I know that Tein and Apex'i both have US divisions, not just advertising ... not sure about Tanabe though. HKS also has a US division, and I think Exedy does too. JIC also has a US division, although I've heard from numerous people that they have some of the worst customer service of any US tuning company.

Im talking about part manufacturing stateside for companies like ASM (autobacs?) Amuse, J's, Tracy Sports etc. I want more support from original companies at a more competitive price point. What else is stopping new and budget tuners from buying replicas?

I find it continuously more difficult to find original ideas in the automotive design and aftermarket area. Everything is starting to look the same.

PS: No word from Import Tuner and Carter Jung....
