Also if I decide to go with K&N+AUT should I try to cover the upper part of the intake so I minimize all the unwanted hot air? u know customize it a little bit.
(Just a thought)

The intake has the rubber seals on the top that seal against the hood. So no need to cover the top or anything. No intakes will give a noticeable hp gain. Just nice sound and give more space in the engine bay etc. For those reasons I have been a fan of the FIPK. I used to have that when I was NA and was very happy with it. Great sound and easy install!

At first I was thinking K&N fipk+aut looks and sounds good, then I got this idea about installing a snorkel + a drop in filter.
If u consider look and weight saving probably the first choice would be better. but I also like the second choice, so I don't know guys.
I would like to make some power too, I already know it is not easy... what I am saying is I am trying to find the best combination possible.
Help me out!!!

Get the K&N FIPK...I got mine a while ago and I fell in love with it the moment I first experienced the intake sound at higher RPM...

You can't go wrong with it. Install is simple and the product seems durable. The sound along is worth the price.

Sometimes it's good to go with the popular choice. In polls the K&N and CT seems to be the most popular and affordable. My experience with the FIPK is all good.

Not much to add other than I like my CT engineering one.. looks nice under the hood and makes some open space in the engine bay. That being said, install was a bitch.

I had the K&N on my past 2 S2000s and loved the sound. Never really felt a performance increase though. This time around, I went with the AEM. Still working on my eTune with Gernby, but I'm very impressed that the intake temps are reading only around ~8 degrees above ambient temp. I was also extremely impressed with the fit and finish. I got a great deal on it through Autozone.com using one of their 20% off coupon codes.

Fitment sucks balls (especially for the price) and PWJDM's customer service is a joke, but I cant complain with the performance. (with a tune)

Had to take an air hammer to the underside of the hood to get a good fitment.
