K&N FIPK is the most popular. Cheap, sounds good and some gains have been shown. Can't go wrong with it.

This is a value question
Whats better blondes or brunettes?

Everyone is going to have there own preference. I still have my gutted OEM intake with a K&N drop in filter, its for sale if you want it.

"Best" is usually a matter of opinion. No bolt on intake is going to be the best. To find the best you need a dyno, piping and lots of time. Then you start testing different lengths, until you find the one that shows the best gains in the powerband you want them in.

With that being said. I've owned an FIPK and wasn't really that impressed. It sounded great, but I felt zero gains and heat soak was worse. I now run a custom set-up with the FIPK box and love it. I'll eventually be going with a 3.5" pipe with the FIPK box though.

When it comes to the battle between K&N and AEM it really for the most part comes down to personal preference. They do have their differences. K&N uses an oiled filter while AEM uses a dryflow air filter which uses no type of oil for filtration. Both are washable and reusable lasting your rides lifetime.

This question is so opinionated that it's not even funny..

You can ask this question a million times and get 725,000 different answers..

Just get which one you think looks the best on the car, it'll work good enough!!

That being said, I've had the K&N FiPK and I loved it during the winter time, when spring rolled around I got annoyed with the heat soak (heat bogging) in traffic so I got rid of it for the AEM V2.. I'm much happier now, just my $.02..

Get which ever makes your nipples hard. I love the sound of my PRM but other guys get off on the look of carbon fiber. No matter what, you're not going to get big gains from just an intake.
