Which intake to pick ?

Default Which intake to pick ?

Hey i am stuck i need help by choosing which intake to buy i am looking between (Mugen air intake) or an (AEM cold air intake)??
1. Which one sounds better?
2. Performance ?

AEM is louder.

most all intakes will give you around 2hp....
but if your going to stay na you might wana get one. the power isnt that great but the sounds amazing.
i got the aemv2 cai and its great, i love it

upside of aem=no heat soak
downside of aem=hydrolock
- i dont think hydrolocking isnt that big of a issue, if you make the umbrella which takes 2 mins
you will be fine.

AEM v2 is an average of 8hp gain on an untuned setup. K&N FIPK and a few others is an average of 5hp on an untuned setup. The best sounding intake by far would definitely have to be the FIPK though. If you have an average to quiet exhaust, you will LOVE the FIPK to death. 3 hp difference between the AEM and FIPK, if it doesnt matter to you anyhow.

surprised no one has thrown PRM Jetstream into the pot for choices, best sounding imo, looks cool as well.

Paired with an EMS, a CAI will show very nice midrange gains. Other wise I'd go with the FIPK. Mine is anything but an FIPK now
