Default Intake Question ASM/Mugen/K&N

I have a 2008 AP2, this week I bought an Amuse exhaust, and now I am getting an intake and the question is this:

I dont want to cut my hood, so whixh is one is best: ASM, Mugen or K&N, I know that with the J's you need to cut the hood, but what about with the ones mentioned above?

Mugen and ASM you need to cut your OEM hood as well. If you want to run any of those intake get a Mugen, J's or ASM hood and they have the hump that will clear the intake which mean no cutting of their hoods.

k&n, aem, injen, fujita all don't require cutting

K&N works great, no cutting, easy install too. Only $250ish if you look around.

K&N, AEM, Fijita, Injen, etc. whichever you want. I just chose K&N since I don't have to worry about hydrolock and it comes with a dyno sheet to show the gain at least. =)

AEM and fujita do require cutting of the plastic around the pass. side wheel well.

Best bang for the buck is the K&N FIPK. I have it, and im very happy with it. Mugen and ASM are beautiful pieces but $$$$$ I also belive that
you need other things from Mugen and ASM to get the full benifit.

This is not true, I have isntalled both and didn't cut the side wall nor underneath section. The trick is to have it raised from the mount point, which the Fujita vibration mount does but AEM doesn't seem to.

To escape cutting the bottom section, it just removed it compeltly
