J's Racing 70RS Dual Exhaust is here!
UPDATE 23/6/2011 at the bottom - video clip, ratting problem, and before/after shots
I am greeted this afternoon with this long box when coming home from a long work stint! Big dent on the cardboard box...

Fortunately nothing is bent, dented, scratched, or missing... It comes complete with 3 x gaskets, 4 x bolts/nuts, 1 x sticker, and a Japanese sheet which I can't read... Does this normally come with the silencer?

Taking each piece out from their plastic wrapping...

Now to show you each piece and the welds... The mufflers have different stainless colouring to the rest of the piping, sort of similar to the titanium version... The welds are fantastic and I am happy with them
Blue tip looks great... The photos don't do them justice with the flash, glare, etc...

Excellent craftsmanship and worth every buck on the looks department alone.
I'll continue with the installation photos tomorrow
And time permitting, HD street vid test + HD track vid test on the weekend
Stay tuned!!!

UPDATE 23/06/11
Ok I've commenced the work this morning. Didn't start well as my hydraulic jack is a piece of crap. It can't lift the car high enough for me to get safely underneath the car. So I had to improvise. In the end, I had an OK clearance to get underneath but space was still premium.
Bolts on cross-member bar were easy to break with a long extension bar so no problem there. Cat bolts were a bit tricky as not much space for my ext bar so had to go with a shorter bar. In the end I got them all out.
The rubber hangers were PITA. I sprayed nearly a litre of water+soap at the end of the day to pull them out. Had to use plenty of elbow grease and minus screwdriver to pry that rubber hangers in the middle of the mufflers. God damn it was hard and took me hours. Had to twist, move the exhaust around, before finally they gave up. I nearly gave up after the 1000th attempt and was thinking to grab my knife and cut the rubber..... luckily gave it another try and after much grunting it was done on both sides.
Putting everything back together is a piece of cake in comparison. But unfortunately I ran out of time and daylight so I'll leave the photos and videos for tomorrow.
ANNOYING POINT: Drone and SMELL!! Must be because it's a new system??? Hopefully after the break-in period these are gone....
The other MOST ANNOYING thing when I drove it is the rattle!!!! During WOT it's quiet (the rattle I mean), but at idle or low rpm mate, it drives me crazy. I haven't check what's the cause thoroughly (tomorrow!) but with my torch, I figure it must be the collector pipe just before the split which bangs itself against the chassis when vibrating. Do anyone have had exp about this problem?
And oh, this exhaust is LOUD ASS.
I'll leave the rest for tomorrow. I'm exhausted and need sleep.

UPDATE 24/06/11
Not a good day to snap photos due to overcast (and later turns to heavy rain) but managed to take before and after photos.
Before

After

I raised the car again this morning to find out the source of the rattling problem. Checked from cat to tip and found the culprit. It comes from the collector pipe just before the split against the bit of metal. It bangs itself against this when vibrating. The gap in between is VERY TIGHT prob only 1-2mm max and this space will be even smaller when the pipe expands at high temp. I tried to move the system away from the chassis but with no luck thanks to rubber hangers which gives it some kind of free-play.

So I went to local auto store and grabbed a roll of exhaust tape - it is more like a bandage for quick exhaust fix - then I cut it in three and stacked them up to get the required thickness (the thicker the better). It has epoxy resin adhesive so application is as easy as sticking it on. I put it on the gap in between to function as the dampener. Then let it baked for 30mins or so. And guess what, it works! If I put my ears close I can still hear the banging but the noise is barely audible let alone when inside the car. Simple solution really but it works so no complain.

As promised finally an HD track session video below!!! I don't know why there is white noise (can hear high freq noise) in the background. Thought it was the sign of my deteriorated hearing - partially blamed to the unsilenced 70RS LOL. Lucky it was a dry session - it started pouring down just after we were about to call it a day.
Again ran out of time as on the way home it's heavily raining and my GoPro vidcam for some reason chewed through the battery quicker than I expected. I'll take some more videos this weekend when I have the chance.
And oh before I forgot, the whole system weighs at 11-12kg compared to OEM which weighs at a bulky 26kg.

Don't J's dual exhaust all come in 3 pieces?
BTW, did you have rattling problem?

it. I see you got the 3 piece EMS version as well. Your pics are way nicer than mine...
