I bent the hanger on my resonator slightly as well as using the stock triangle muffler hangers, using the two parts of the hanger that are farther apart.

That's how the hks fits on an ap2 bumper.

There's really nothing you can do unless you want to start bending metal hangers or using different rubber bushings from the auto parts store. Mine sits about 1/2", too. The bumper should be fine. I haven't had melting or discoloration issues.

The exhaust is super quiet when it's cold. It gets louder when warm

AZN.... common, your in Canada..... car is tucked away in its nice warm garage... you should understand... UNLESS you are driving yours in the winter.... ouch!

my HKS looks the same really close to the bumper.. never had any problem or anything like that.

the only problem you will face is cleaning the rear bumper more often cause of the colour ..thats it..i got a pic if your interested.


I hope you your planing on a TB and headers..sound stays the same!!(amazing), good luck

I see you've used the hanger(rubber) provided with the HKS.
Did you try using the stock hanger(the one with 3 holes)?
If you use the 2 holes that's further away, it fits better.

nice exhaust, i'm still kinda iffy on how round tipped exhausts look on the ap2 bumper though.
