Default k&n fipk

Has anyone attempted to fill or seal the space where the pipe enters the box containing the air filter? Is it a bad idea to do so?
Thanks,
Nico

I doubt you would see much of a difference. You will never stop all the hot air from getting in.

That's really the best way to put it I'd say.

You must have the older version of the K&N FIPK. Mine has no gap around that area. Its completely sealed by a very thick rubber gasket.

S FACTOR I tried to get that gasket to fill the space but the set up would not allow everything to line up properly. I wonder if the AP1 is set up for the perfect fit that way.
Oh well. I plan to get a supercharger but not for a while so I guess I am trying to keep busy until then Any suggestions for minimal pre-supercharger mods?
Thanks for the responses guys!
