Default LED High Beams

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone on here has any experience upgrading the stock high beam bulbs to LED. I found these lights:

http://store.ijdmtoy.com/Honda-S2000...s-p/90-007.htm

They're listed as compatible with the DRL's on 2006+ but don't make any mention on what happens when you turn on the high beams (hoping they'd be bright!). I'm wondering what would happen on an AP1 that doesn't even have DRL's, I wonder if you could leave out the DRL decoder.

Thanks!

Vin

im gonna guess they suck. looking at the led setups on factory led headlights(which are just now becoming a thing) make these look like toys

My guess is since everything I've read about leds in things like backup lights ect is that they are bright up close but not from a distance it would be bad to replace high beams with them?

Thanks for the replies. Thats what I was thinking too. VLEDS.com makes some pretty incredible LED headlights, but it seems they only list the H1 as a driving/fog light, which leads me to believe it won't be as bright as we'd need:

http://www.vleds.com/headlights/led/...lm-1-pair.html

They're only listed as 1300LM total output (per bulb)

Comparing that to an H4/9003 bulb:

http://www.vleds.com/headlights/led/...2/h4-mtg2.html

2100lm low beam 3000lm high beam total output (per bulb)

Are H1's usually used as fog lights on most other cars?

I think stock s2000 lights are very bright as it. You can use that money for better mods!

If you like lighting maybe add fog lights to the bumpers

Reviving this thread to provide a solution. We now have a custom harness + LED solution that will allow any S2000 00-05 or 06+ or DRL equipped S2000s to upgrade to LED High Beams and DRLs.
