im still wondering what venting the hood right in front of the throttle body and adding a scoop would do performance wise...now, i would never do that, im just curious

 

At that point, why not just run a vented hood and open throttle body..

On the off chance you are serious, the intake arms play in important role in tuning the resonance of the intake. Resonance plays a role in what RPM the engine will breathe best. If anything, we need way LONGER intakes, not shorter.
