Default Looking for suggestions

Im looking to put about $10000 under the hood of my '05. Already got suspension... Anyone have any suggestions/good or bad experiences to share in regards to engine upgrades? I'd rather go turbo than supercharger. thanx

just be ready to have down time to tune ur car.

i think if ur tuned and drive reasonably, you will be fine with engine upgrades.

boost.
or a ton of n/a mods that'll give you 20whp.

boost is definitely more cost effective at getting more power.

$10,000? Do you already have a house? Otherwise best investment is a down payment on a house for the $8000 tax credit and a garage to work on the S.

i hate responses like this. the guy came here cause he wants to blow 10g's on the engine....not for financial advice and tax credits.

just help the guy out and stop preaching what you think he should do with his money.

now, if it was me, i'd spend some time over in the FI section of this forum. learn some of the major differences between the sc and turbo kits out there. figure out what your goals are and find what's going to be best for you.

i would say expect around 6k - 7k or so for a good turbo setup and aem ems, and then you might want to consider the rest or a portion of the rest on wider wheels and tires so that the car can actually hook up the traction if you're pushing 400hp+

Wow, bitch much? Did I say anything about doing it for investment? I ask if he had a house because a garage is a great "mod" as in you can rip the car apart, leave it apart, take time to do things right, and it is useful for every car.

I could have been a prick and said "search" or "you're the reason our economy is based on debt blah blah blah".

Please tell me where you see financial advice in my post? Isn't telling someone how to spend $10,000 "financial advice".

Get real.

To the OP, Mase is taking preorders for his turbo kit. $6500, and you will need a new clutch and tuning. That leaves enough for some other goodies like exhaust, tb, cams, head gasket, etc if you want.

3-4k for a used turbo kit
2k for an f24 build for more tq
2k for aem with tune
600 for exhaust
1400 for a good set of tires and wheels. to hold all the power
if you have wheels use the 1400 for a good diff to put more of the power to the wheels or get a good clutch/flywheel setup
