I am sure this would be easy to mate to my Berk single
thanks
I don't plan to offer a non-HFC model, since they don't perform any better and don't sound as good. However, I don't see any reason to believe that they will all fail, unless you are dumping a bunch of unburned fuel into the exhaust. That said, if the HFC does fail, it would be easy to replace OR remove. It would take literally minutes to remove the catalyst core from the expansion chamber.

Seeing this bolted to the SE make me want one for mine! I would love to hear a sound clip w/ it!

I have very disappointing news about the Greddy SE Dual. While the performance improvement was exactly as expected, the drone was NOT reduced. I had a suspicion beforehand that the unequal length pipes after the Y might cause problems, but had no idea the effect would be this significant. Sound cancellation is heavily dependent on symmetry, so it seems that the lack of symmetry between the Greddy mufflers totally disrupts the sound cancellation performed within the expansion chamber. Bummer …

I believe people with similarly designed dual exhausts should consider the Gern-Pipe to be a performance upgrade alone, and NOT a solution for drone. However, if you have a single or dual with equal length pipes after the Y (like the T1R Sparrow or Invidia Q300), it will reduce drone quite a bit.

Damn about the lack of drone reduction on the SE duals!

Still keen for some sound clips, like you said, it would still be a great performance mod to have... hopefully not increasing the drone.

Since the OEM exhaust doesn't have a flange behind the rear axles, it can't be a "bolt-on" solution. It has to be cut and welded, but that would be a simple task for any muffler shop.

It didn't make it worse or better.

I'm not familiar with the Asura Dual, but if I remember correctly, it is an assymetric dual, which would mean that it probably would not have a reduction in drone from my midpipe. If I'm wrong about it being assymetric, please let me know. I will go through the "official exhaust thread" soon to see which exhausts should receive a reduction in drone.

I am ready to take orders for 5 production units, but only want to ship within the U.S. at this time. I have received WAY more requests than I ever expected from over seas, but am not ready for that right now. The selling price that I can do for these 5 units is $1100 shipped and Paypal'ed (not including sales tax for Texas residents).

At this price, you will receive a midpipe that is ready to be welded to whatever mufflers you choose. Hopefully this will be some muffler configuration that I've already tested, since I truly want ZERO surprises and definitely ZERO complaints. I want EVERY buyer to receive exactly what they expect! I have found no muffler combination that didn't provide awesome performance gains, but as I mentioned in the recent posts above, assymetric dual muffler designs probably will NOT receive a reduction in drone.

Regarding weld beauty, I will make an HD video of every unit, and allow each buyer to view their unit before I ship it. If you feel that the welds aren't pretty enough, I'll issue a full refund and offer the unit to the next person on the waiting list. I'm not selling this product as a bling item, and don't want to increase the price by $1000 each by having them welded in China, so they can have that "stacked sequins" look that everyone is so fond of around here. I will guarantee that every unit will have quality stainless steel welds, but don't beleive beauty is an issue for a mid-pipe.

I can only commit to filling 5 orders at this time, which will be on a first come / first served basis.
