Have you tested it with the OEM mufflers? If so, how much louder is it compared to stock?

@croc - The overall tone of the Q300 combined with my mid-pipe is virtually the same as the Q300 with it's own midpipe and an HFC. However, the drone is virtually eliminated. It's pretty loud, as you can hear from the video driv300mph posted. Please send me a PM if you want to make a purchase.

@pmptx - Since you are going to use one of my prototypes with the OEM mufflers for a while, I think we should wait a bit on your order.

@RTL2K - Yes, the midpipe has been tested with OEM mufflers, and the results were great. There are dyno results from that test earlier in the thread. The sound is very similar to me, but pmptx said it sounds more like the stock Nissan Z (IIRC).

I did the testing for the Gernpipe with OEM muff. No noticable sound increase. Tone improved.

I plan on running this setup and have experienced a much better mid range and sound.

Greg-agreed, I can wait till the end of production. Just ahppy to get it on before track next weekend, so you can get your review and I will put up mine.

Thanks for letting me codrive yesterday.

I got to codrive OP's car (we also call him mad scientist) and I was amazed at how much power the car had from the get go.
It was after lunch, last run of the day and I was getting lazy, tired and sleepy...when I started rolling in on gas, I was not expecting to almost lose it. Thanks to his great suspension that saved my a**! It woke me up and made me realize I am not driving a regular S, it's a beast. There are very few mods that give you a lot for your money if you want to stay NA but I think OP took it to a whole new level. Car sounded great, felt great and above all car was insanely fast with no drone!

Way to go Greg, mad props to your R&D, time and dedication for our beloved NA S2000s

BTW, I'm a dealer for Invidia now, so if you want to bundle one of their exhausts with the mid-pipe, I'll give an awesome package discount!
