Out of curiosity, at which point in the patent process are you? Did you use an attorney? I unfortunately deal with the patent application process and litigation more often than I would prefer (I do IT / business consulting for a manufacturing company). Let me know if you need any advice, etc. always willing to help out a fellow car guy and I know a few application tricks that might help you cover a wider range of applications with a single patent.

 

I wrote the initial patent application, then hired a patent attorney. He rewrote most of it, and filed it about a year ago. I included derivitive of my design as I could think of in the claims, and only mentioned the Honda S2000 once in the whole document. Basically, the patent covers the application of my design to any combustion engine.

hey gernby, what mods do you have on your car currently? just curious because i heard lots of compliments on your cars performance on the track

My mod list changes pretty often, since I do so much testing, but my "normal" setup is a PWJDM intake, Gern-Pipe, FlashPro tune with VTEC at 3600, and Ohlins DFV coilovers. Minor mods include a Hondata IMG, colder spark plugs, and a light weight battery (PC680). Everything else is stock.

But to answer your question about buying a unit ... I haven't decided when or how many I will make in the next batch. I want to get feedback from the buyers of the first 6 units before moving forward with another batch. All 6 have been delivered, but I don't think any of them have been installed.

 

I remember you had injectors at one point, did you go back to stock?
